NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION & MONTHLY ONBOARDING DATES

Successfully orienting yourself to a new organization is not an easy task. It takes dedication, persistence and a little assistance along the way. Our role as GTCC navigators is to help you become acclimated to your work environment as quickly as possible and provide you with the tools so that you can build relationships, focus on priorities, deliver results, and minimize stress while learning and growing from mistakes. To that end, we have developed a three-phase process that will help guide your learning and development during your first year experience at GTCC. The process begins with New Employee Orientation, followed by Monthly Onboarding session (integration) and finally full engagement.

New Employee Orientation- Organizational Development partners with Human Resources in offering a program designed to assist newly-hired, full-time faculty and staff with becoming acclimated to the work environment and the overall culture of GTCC, as quickly and as easily as possible. Tools are provided that can help employees build relationships, focus on priorities, deliver results and to minimize stress while learning and growing from their experiences.

Monthly Onboarding Sessions – Coordinated by Organizational Development, these sessions are designed to help all new faculty and staff become more familiar with the community college environment, meet new colleagues and team members, be introduced to key people within our organization and gain valuable information about the various campus locations.
